The Selection Process
Merit-Based Admission
Nobel College follows a rigorous selection process to ensure that it admits students who demonstrate both academic excellence and potential. The admission process includes:
- Academic Records: Evaluation based on the marks obtained in Intermediate or 10+2 examinations.
- Entrance Test: Assessment of the applicant’s proficiency through a standardized test.
- Personal Interview: An interview to gauge the applicant’s overall suitability and potential.
Application Procedure
Applications are accepted for the fall semester, starting in September each year. Prospective students should apply as early as possible to ensure full consideration. Application forms can be obtained from the College Office. To complete the application process, applicants must submit:
- Photocopies of the Mark Sheet and Character Certificate from SLC or its equivalent.
- Photocopies of the transcript and Character Certificate from Intermediate/Pu/10+2 or its equivalent.
- A letter of recommendation from a teacher or academic mentor from the previous institution.
Upon submission of the completed application form, candidates will be registered for the Entrance Test.
Eligibility Criteria
- For Management Studies: Applicants must have a minimum aggregate of 45% in Intermediate or 10+2 examinations in English medium.
- For Science and Technology: Applicants must have a minimum aggregate of 50% in Intermediate or 10+2 examinations in English medium.
Entrance Test
The Entrance Test, conducted by Nobel College, evaluates the applicant’s readiness and suitability for the program. The test includes:
- Communication Skills: An essay of approximately 500 words in English.
- Quantitative Ability: Assessment of mathematical skills and numerical aptitude.
- Logical Reasoning and IQ Test: Evaluation of problem-solving and reasoning capabilities.
- Computer and General Awareness: Test on general knowledge and computer proficiency.
Sample questions for the entrance test will be provided with the application form.
Interview Process
The admission decision will be based on a comprehensive review of the applicant’s academic performance, entrance test results, and an interview with the Admissions Committee. Applicants must present the following documents during the interview:
- Original Mark Sheet and Character Certificate from SLC or its equivalent.
- Original Transcript and Character Certificate from Intermediate/PU/10+2 or its equivalent.
- Entrance Test results.
- Letters of recommendation from previous academic institutions.
Fee Refund Policy
“Students who choose to withdraw from the college either before the semester begins or during the semester are not eligible for a refund of paid charges, deposits, or fees.”
