PROGRAM FOCUS

The main focus of the BPT program is to:

  • Provide knowledge and skill-oriented education in physiotherapy.
  • Deliver clinical physiotherapy education based on evidence-based practices.
  • Develop leadership and research capabilities for advanced roles in physiotherapy.

 

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The BPT program is designed to produce graduates capable of critical analysis, decision-making, and providing evidence-based physiotherapy services. The objectives include:

  • To assess, interpret, and plan physiotherapy treatment with a patient-centered approach.
  • To integrate knowledge from physiotherapy, biomedical, and psychosocial sciences.
  • To enhance professional autonomy in clinical settings.
  • To improve health and social care delivery effectiveness.
  • To contribute to scientific literature and research in physiotherapy.

 

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

Graduates of the BPT program will be able to:

  • Demonstrate competence in assessing and planning physiotherapy interventions.
  • Utilize advanced techniques in manual therapy, exercise, and electrotherapy.
  • Evaluate and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
  • Apply research findings to physiotherapy practices.
  • Exhibit professional integrity, ethical conduct, and reflective practice.
  • Demonstrate leadership and adaptability in various healthcare environments.

 

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

BPT graduates can pursue careers in:

CURRICULAR STRUCTURE AND PROGRAM FEATURES

The curriculum is structured to provide comprehensive training in physiotherapy through a combination of theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and clinical exposure.

  • Duration: Four and a half years (Nine semesters).
  • Credit Hours: Total 167 credits, including coursework, practical sessions, research, and a six-month compulsory internship.
  • Language of Instruction: English.
  • Evaluation: Continuous assessment and semester-end examinations.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must have completed:

  • 10+2 or equivalent with Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Minimum 50% in aggregate or GPA of 2.4 with a C+ in science subjects.

Additionally, candidates must pass the entrance examination.
