The evaluation is divided into two key components:

  • External Evaluation: 50% of the overall grade is conducted through semester-end examinations.
  • Internal Evaluation: 50% of the overall grade, consisting of two parts:
    • Theory: 30% of the internal evaluation is based on quizzes, tutorials, assignments, class tests, class participation, and formal internal exams.
    • Practical: 20% of the internal evaluation is assessed through lab work, project assignments, and viva voce (oral exams).

Evaluation of Concentration Courses

The school or college will conduct internal and semester-end exams for elective courses following OCE guidelines. Answer sheets and relevant documents must be preserved and submitted to the Office of the Dean as instructed. Final grades are to be forwarded to the OCE within three weeks, with results withheld from students until formal notification is received. Answer sheets must be stored in sealed bags for six months.

In rare cases, a student may receive an "I" (Incomplete) grade if unable to complete required work. If not resolved in the following semester, the "I" converts to an "F."

Performance Evaluation

  • Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA): Calculated as total honor points earned in a semester divided by total credit hours taken.
  • Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA): Calculated as cumulative honor points divided by cumulative credit hours.

Repeating a Course

A student can retake up to two courses to achieve a minimum CGPA of 2.0. The new grade will replace the earlier one.

Credit Transfer and Withdrawal

Up to 25% of total credit hours can be transferred if the student achieved a "B" or above in a course from an equivalent program within five years. A full semester withdrawal is permitted on medical grounds; partial withdrawal is not allowed.

Project Work

Students must complete two mini-projects and one comprehensive capstone project involving fieldwork and empirical analysis.

Internship

An internship is required to provide real-life experience that is aligned with the student’s area of interest and concentration.

Unfair Means

Cheating or adopting unfair means during assignments, exams, or report writing is strictly prohibited.
